A cancer coach is someone who can help you gain clarity, get out of being overwhelmed and reduce stress so you can experience quality of life again.
Some things a cancer coach may help you with:
• One on one peer counseling
• Addresses fears about the future or the unknown
• Addresses feeling overwhelmed & isolated
• Addresses communication issues and everyday life
• Defining new normal
• Life after cancer
Your Cancer Coach can also work with you to anticipate and identify barriers to meeting your goals and brainstorm solutions that work for you.
This service is provided face to face in the Hurstview office or via telephone for those outside of the office area.

All coaching/patient navigation services and communication, email or otherwise, delivered by your Cancer Coach/Patient Navigator, are meant to help you identify the areas in your life and in your thinking that may be challenging to you during your cancer experience. This agreement is for coaching, not psychotherapy. While coaching can work with issues such as identifying and reaching life goals, and changing the behaviors that aren’t working well for you, coaching cannot deal with issues such as clinical depression and anxiety. For issues such as these, you must see a Physician or Licensed Mental Health Professional in your location. Your coach will not diagnose or treat any medical or psychological conditions.
